These handcrafted blocks offer an introduction to puzzles in the earliest months. Inspired by classic Montessori cylinders, they invite babies to grasp, remove, and replace, exploring how the hand works through repetition.
The larger cylinder supports an early whole-hand (palmar) grasp, often emerging around 8 months, while the smaller knobbed piece encourages the pincer grasp (between the thumb and index finger) that emerges slightly later as fine motor skills progress, typically closer to 10 months. Together, they follow the natural progression of fine motor development.
Through simple, repeated movement, the child builds control, concentration, and confidence while refining their fine motor skills.
Crafted from solid wood with a smooth, natural finish, they are made for daily use and lasting play
